The following is a condensed version of Chapter 3 of the Best-Selling Book Medical Medium by Anthony William.
Epstein Barr is responsible for the mystery illnesses of every category. For some people, it creates fatigue and pain that go unnamed. For others, it creates symptoms that have medical doctors prescribing all kinds of medications that turn out to be ineffective.
EBV is the source of numerous health problems that are currently considered mystery illnesses such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. EBV is also the cause of some major maladies that medical communities think they understand but really do not including Thyroid Disease, Vertigo, and Tinnitus.
EVB goes through four stages:
Stage 1
If you catch EBV, it remains dormant and does nothing more than float around in your bloodstream slowly replicating itself to build its numbers and waiting for an opportunistic time to launch a more direct infection. For example, if you physically exhaust yourself for weeks and give yourself no chance to fully recover, or allow your body to become deprived of essential nutrients such a zinc and vitamin B12 or undergo a Traumatic Emotional experience like a relationship breakup, a loved one, or a front line worker, the virus will detect the stress hormones released in your body and choose that time to take advantage.
EBV is inhumanly patient and will wait patiently until a hormonal change happens and then it goes to battle.
Stage 2
This is where EBV makes its presence known. It does this by turning into Mononucleosis. This is the infection that we grew up with known as the “kissing disease”. This is when the virus is at its most contagious. During this stage, your immune system goes to war with the virus. How severely this battle rages will be different with every person. You can have Mono for just a few days with the feeling of fatigue and a scratchy throat and you won’t likely realize what is really going on so you probably would not go to a doctor for a blood test. It is during this stage the EBV seeks a long-term home in one of your organs like the liver or spleen. EBV loves these organs to hide out in because other heavy metals are stored in these organs and this is the perfect food source for the virus. Additionally, EBV has a best friend that it hangs around with and it is a bacteria called Streptococcus.
During Stage 2 this bacterium can move up into the throat and cause “Strep Throat” and or infect the sinus, nose, and mouth. It can also travel down and cause urinary infections.
Stage 3
Once EBV settles into the Liver, Spleen, and or other organs, its nests there!
Even while this virus is nesting it can still cause issues within these organs as it burrows deep into the tissue and causes a greater amount s of inflammation. The virus also excretes three types of poisons into the body, firstly the waste product of the virus is toxic, secondly, as the cells die off and regenerate the corpse of the cell are toxic, and thirdly creates a neurotoxin that can cause significant pain just about anywhere in the body. This results in pain in areas in the body that have experienced no trauma but still hurt. For example, sore foot, shoulder, or hip. These are symptoms of what is known as Mystery Illness.
With these toxins active in your system the Immune system is on full alert but is confused because it does not know exactly where these toxins are coming from.
Most medical communities do not know that most Thyroid issues have a direct connection to EBV. With Thyroid issues, the virus burrows into the tissue and causes an imbalance in the gland. The Thyroid Gland responds by protecting itself by adding more calcium to the area, as this calcium builds up, you can feel this through the skin by touching the area. Hashimoto’s disease is a common diagnosis, but the cause is EBV.
Stage 4
The goal now of the virus is to leave the Thyroid and inflame the Central Nervous System. Normally the Immune System (IS) would step in and stop this in its tracks but, if EBV has worn you down in Stage 3 the IS gets overwhelmed and does not know what to do. This will cause a wide range of issues such as heart palpitations, random aches and pains, and nerve pain. A typical reaction is to feel like a truck hit you.
Blood tests, x rays, and MRIs will show nothing is wrong. Doctors will not see that the nerves are inflamed. What is happening is that your nerves are triggering a red alert hormone to notify your body that the nerves are exposed and that they need repair. In Stage 4 the virus rushes over and attaches to these nerves. If successful, the virus can keep these nerves inflamed for years. The conditions that this can create are muscle pain, joint pain, back pain, tingling in the hands and feet, MIGRAINES, fatigue, dizziness, eye floaters, restless sleep, and night sweats.
Now one of the greatest missteps of the medical community is to mistake women’s Epstein Barr symptoms with perimenopause and menopause. Symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, heart palpitations, brittle nails, hair loss, and anxiety were and are connected to hormonal change.
TINNITUS or ringing in the ears is often caused by EBV getting inside the inner ear nerve channel called the Labyrinth. The ringing is caused by the virus inflaming and vibrating the Labyrinth and the cochlear nerve.
If you have EBV or suspect you do, EBV Stage 4 can be beyond frustrating. But take comfort in knowing that you can recover, rebuild your Immune System and regain control of your life.
